PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Glenferrie Oval was the home of the Hawthorn Football AFL Football club from 1906 until 1973. As AFL Football became far more than a local game in Victoria the clubs had to move to more modern and larger premises than the home grounds of yesteryear, The Micheal Tuck stand was built in 1938 and has striking Art Deco lines of architecture. The facility was in need of a significant refurbishment so the Shire of Boroondara embarked on the process in 2024. The stand required structural rehabilitation as well as refurbishment of the grandstand viewing platforms concrete. The Architect called for an elastic, durable, trafficable waterproofing membrane.
SIKA’S FLOORING SOLUTION
